Xtremsounds Box Calc ("the app") is published by Xtremsounds, 600 McKinley Ave, Peoria, IL 61607.
No personal information. The app has no accounts, analytics, or advertising.
When you save a sub in Sub specs (T/S) with "Share to community database" switched on (it is on by default and you can switch it off at any time; the choice is remembered), the app sends only details about the subwoofer: brand, model, size, coil type and impedance, and any Thiele/Small specs you typed (Fs, Qts, Qes, Qms, Vas, Sd, Xmax, BL, Re, Le, Mms, Cms, displacement, mounting depth). It never sends your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, device identifiers, or the sub's nickname you gave it.
To keep the database from being spammed, the app signs in to Google Firebase anonymously. This creates a random ID that is not linked to you and is not stored with your submission. Firebase (Google) processes the request and may log network information such as IP address as described in Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Submissions are reviewed by Xtremsounds before they appear in the shared "Search subs" list. Shared specs are public to other app users and can't be traced back to you. If no connection is available the submission waits on your device and is sent later; switching sharing off stops new submissions. To ask for a submission to be removed, email us with the brand and model.
Saved subs, the sharing setting, queued community submissions and a cached copy of the community list are stored only on your device.
The app saves your unit preference (inches or metric) and calculator inputs on your device only. Uninstalling the app removes them.
If you tap Get a build quote, Order this box built, or the map link, the app opens your email app (with the box specs filled in, addressed to xtremsoundsboxcalc@gmail.com) or your maps app. Nothing is sent until you press Send in your email app, and it goes through your email provider, not through us, until it reaches our shop.
The app is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
